Sorry we have to be so adamant about our requirements, but we were getting so much garbage we decided to make things very clear -- better than wasting our time, or yours! Thanks.

Please do not waste your time sending anything that does not meet all of these requirements!

• Please do not submit general comments. For contact info to send in comments, see our Contact Page (the Comments address is also in every e-mailed issue).

• We only accept lawsuits (not criminal cases!) -- cases which are being (or have been) fought in a civil court in the United States -- we cannot accept cases of wild things that are happening in your life that are not in court nor are we accepting cases from outside the USA. (Why?)

• A URL to a report in a mainstream publication such as a newspaper, magazine, law journal, or other public source of information is required. Please only include original sources -- not summaries on other "weird lawsuit" sites, such as OverLawyered.com.

• We didn't think it would be necessary to say this, but do not send funny stories you got by e-mail. The whole point is for us to discuss true cases, not urban legends!

• We don't publish the name/e-mail address of those who submit cases, but we ask you to provide your name and e-mail address (which are subject to our tough privacy policy) in case we have questions. But sorry, due to the very high number of submissions received, many of which are duplicates, we are not able to acknowledge submissions.
